Kalagram was founded in July 2000 by a group of young, aspiring dancers and musicians to bring about a greater awareness of Indian culture in Japan.

In our pursuit of Indian classical performance, we touched upon myriad faces of India, from dance, music and crafts to lifestyle, philosophy and mythology. And this brief encounter with her people and culture left us both astonished and in awe.

We wish to share our experience with you, even if it is just a tip of the iceberg... so you might feel a little closer to India.
